Jonathan Joubert, who plays both contemporary jazz and gypsy traditional swing, is playing a free concert in the Steve Heck Room.
Joubert was born in Paris in 1980 and studied at the American School of Modern Music before obtaining a scholarship to Berklee College of Music. He plays both contemporary jazz and gypsy traditional swing and has performed in many famous Parisian venues, including the Sunset-Sunside, Salle Gaveau, and Le Caveau des Oubliettes. Joubert has also been featured at the Brooklyn Django Fest as well as on the noted NPR talk show "Says You," and he has studied with Mick Goodrick, Richie Hart, Tim Miller, Bruce Saunders, and Dave Santoro.
