Our 33rd John Coltrane Memorial Concert celebrates 25 years of collaboration with Northeastern University. The event runs from September 15 through 18 with with symposiums; a book signing highlighting the release of John Coltrane and Black America's Quest for Freedom: Spirituality and the Music, edited by Leonard Brown; a meet-the-artist session with Anthony Brown, director of the Asian American Orchestra; and a special performance at the State House. It all culminates with the John Coltrane Memorial Concert on Saturday, September 18 featuring special guest Anthony Brown's Asian American Orchestra from the Oakland/San Francisco Bay area.
