Internationally renowned guitar virtuoso, German Schauss, will be presenting a clinic during Berklee's Five-Week Summer Program entitled Instant Shredding: Get More Notes Out of Your Guitar!, showcasing modern rock guitar techniques and improvisational concepts.

Topics that will be covered include three note per string scales; alternate picking; outside/inside picking; string skipping; sweeping techniques; and modal, whole tone, and symmetrical diminished scales; and much more!

Schauss has written instructional articles, books, and online interactive video lessons for Mel Bay Publications, Alfred Publications (Shredding Bach, Total Shred Guitar), and National Guitar Workshop's "WorkshopLive" on Modern Rock Guitar Soloing. He also teaches guitar at Berklee College of Music, Los Angeles Music Academy, and other national and international music schools. Furthermore, he writes and records music with his original band and tours with many nationally and internationally known artists. Additionally, he writes music for video games and commercials/ TV. He is also an author for a very popular monthly guitar column,Instant Shredding, in Germany's biggest guitar magazine Gitarre & Bass.
