Yuki Shibata Quartet

Yuki Shibata is a jazz pianist and composer from Japan. She began to dance classical ballet at the age of 13, through which she became interested in classical and contemporary music and show tunes. At the age of 20, she started to play piano in a college big band in Tokyo. After graduating, she took private lessons for several years from Yuki Arimasa before entering Berklee and studying with Ed Bedner, Danilo Perez, Frank Carlberg, JoAnne Brackeen, Ray Santisi, David Santoro, and Hal Crook.
