Gordon Chambers is a gifted songwriter, producer, and recording artist. The eight-time ASCAP winner is currently signed to L.A. Reid's prestigious Hitco Music publishing company where has written for over 60 recording artists, including Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Usher, Brandy, and Marc Anthony. He is best known for his 1994 Grammy-winning hit "I Apologize" for Anita Baker. Over the years, his compositions have been performed at the Essence Awards, the American Music Awards, and the Goodwill Games, and been featured in six major motion pictures.

Luckily for us at Berklee, we will have a chance to experience all three aspects of his talents on April 8 and 9. Chambers will share experiences in the music business with the Business of Songwriting class and writing expertise with the Advanced Songwriting class. Limited room will be made available for students not in those classes to join on a first-come, first-served basis (see below). Chambers will also meet individually with students to give one-to one advice on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Sign up at the Professional Writing Center reception desk.

Chambers's second album Love Stories recently appeared and is getting rave reviews around the world. On Friday, he will be performing with his band—which is made up entirely of Berklee alumni! So this band, you can be sure, will outdo itself while on our campus.
