KR & the Future / Ebony Joi / The Phix

Hip-hop group KR & the Future, fronted by Berklee alumnus Kevin "KR" Dorsey, have been electrifying audiences and building a strong following in the Boston area with riveting performances at venues like the BPC, the Middle East, and the Paradise. The Future consists of six excellent musicians: Chad Selph (keyboard, musical director), Josh Connelly (guitar), Omitchell Henry (keyboard), Joe Conner (percussion), Coran Henley (drums), and Kyle Miles (bass). KR & the Future were one of nine artists/bands selected out of over 300 submissions to be featured on Heavy Rotation Records's Dorm Sessions 7 compilation.

Ebony Joi is a vibrant singer with qualities comparable to such dynamic artists as Billie Holiday and Kim Burrell. This Northern Philadelphia singer/songwriter has been performing for nearly her entire life, and inherited her musical character from her mother, a gospel singer/songwriter. She has been a background vocalist for various artists such as Leah Smith and Rich Wilson, and was selected to contribute background vocals for New Kids on the Block during tour dates in Boston and Connecticut.
