Known for energetic, powerful live shows that crackle with the electricity of the Replacements, Old 97s, and the Rolling Stones, Cassavettes has turned more than a few heads in Boston and beyond. The group scooped up Best Local Band in the Boston Phoenix reader's poll, nabbed a Boston Music Award for Outstanding Americana Act, and made a splash at the South By Southwest Music Conference in 2007 and 2008.
