Tom Simons—president/creative director of the independent, full-service marketing communications firm PARTNERS+simons—is a guitarist by avocation and a longtime Loomer. Along with Michael Cahill (drums, background vocals), who owns his own business, CK Environmental; PARTNERS+simons controller Jack Cavalier (bass guitar, background vocals); Everett Pendleton (electric guitar, harmony vocals); and Jon Svetkey (acoustic guitar, harmonica, lead vocals), Simons comes back for another evening of original, high octane rock and blues songs at Cafe 939. The Loomers, whose latest album Tomorrow Today is available on iTunes, have performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and twice made it to the final round of Fortune magazine's Corporate Battle of the Bands. They are currently recording their next album. For more information, visit loomers.com.
The Bloodline is a Boston-based power trio of bass, drums, and guitar. They play rock with a heavy influence from groove-oriented music like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Band of Gypsys. Shawn Crowder has held down the drums for 11 years, since he started out in Colorado. He has made it a musical goal to draw influence from all styles and always keep an open ear. Mike Ball has taken care of the low end for 7 years. His powerful attack and stage presence set him apart from anyone you'll ever see. Elliott Klein, the Bloodline's leader, is the baby of the group, having played for only 5 years. He grew up in California; the music he writes and his guitar playing are the sum of influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Johnny Cash to Trent Reznor. Together they create the unique tone of the Bloodline.
