If you're ever strolling through the Boston Commons on a sunny day, you may hear some irresistible acoustic pop coming out of a battery-powered amplifier. And if you're lucky—it may be the music of Kris Roche. The son of wayfaring hippies, one from New York, one from Tokyo, Roche moved to Boston at age 19 and has been making a name for himself ever since. One part Jason Mraz, one part Jack Johnson, and one part playing the hell out the guitar like it was a djembe, his music is fun but sensible, sing-along-able but honest.

Also appearing: Ann Driscoll is a Boston-based singer/songwriter whose appealing indie-pop sound reflects her passion for the Beatles, Britpop, and grunge. A multi-instrumentalist who plays five different instruments, Driscoll's sophisticated melodies and chord progressions combined with her witty and heartfelt lyrics have connected her to fans all across the country and earned her opening slots with nationally renown bands including an Horse, Arizona, and the High Strung.

Also appearing: Nini & Ben began as a loving partnership between Nini Fabi and Ben Gebert. Nini, a talented vocalist with a classical background and Ben, a strong pianist and gifted music engineer, have traveled the world together seeking adventure and music. The duo have spent years performing all over Europe and Australia, writing poignant songs about their adventures and falling in love with the gypsy lifestyle.
