For the fifth consecutive year, Berklee, WGBH Radio Boston, and now First Night, collaborate to kick off NPR's Toast of the Nation concert broadcast on New Year's Eve. This year, star alumna Hiromi, with her group, Hiromi's Sonicbloom, composed of fellow alumni Tony Grey on bass, and Martin Valihora on drums, and Berklee professor Dave Fiuczynski on guitar. The concert broadcast is at 8:00 p.m., and the group will play a second set at 9:30 p.m.
