As the child of Carly Simon and James Taylor, Ben Taylor was born into a musical world with much promise. Armed with an acoustic guitar and a mind full of songs, Taylor has shaped himself into the natural singer/songwriter his parents knew he'd become. With sharp melodies, immaculate acoustic strings, and a barrage of tender lyrics, he demands your attention with a dynamic musicality that comes straight from the heart.
David Saw’s engaging charm and appealing style are as obvious in his songs as they would be if you met him on the street. After playing in a variety of bands throughout England, Saw went out on his own and released his UK debut, A Different Story, in 2003. The album’s success allowed him the pleasure of touring with the likes of acoustic blues singer/songwriter Eric Bibb, Ray Davies, and Patty Griffin. Adding to Saw’s recent accomplishments, the illustrious Carly Simon featured two of his songs on her critically acclaimed 2007 album Into White.
Kim Taylor has toured with Ron Sexsmith and Over the Rhine, and has supported Aqualung, Sarah Borges, Ben Lee, Grant Lee Phillips, Maria Muldaur, Ollabelle, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Josh Ritter, and many others.
19-year-old Emily Elbert is a singer/songwriter with deep musical roots, a love for creative expression, and a jazz-infused sound she describes as “acoustic soul-folk.” Fresh off a northeast run with G. Love and Special Sauce and a showcase spot at the Folk Alliance festival in Memphis, Elbert is already making waves.
This event is standing room only.
