Trouble Man is a play with music and dance about the artistry of Marvin Gaye. Scripted by Berklee students, the production features guest songwriting legend Valerie Simpson (Ashford & Simpson), who will sing her anthem "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" as part of the two performances.
One of Motown's leading male singers who went on to create his unforgettable What's Going On album, Gaye had it all: looks, smarts, and an irresistible voice. Yet, his life was filled with struggle and turmoil. Marvin Gaye sang honestly about his life and the world around him. Trouble Man is directed by Rebecca Perricone. Music ensemble direction is by Terri Lyne Carrington.
