Business of Hip-Hop Symposium
The sixth annual Business of Hip-Hop/Urban Music Symposium: The Best in the Business is presented by the Berklee Music Business/Management Department (which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year) and provides dynamic, cutting-edge insight by the people behind the most prominent names in the genre. The event includes a conversation with Kevin Liles (top-tier industry executive and manager for Trey Songz, D'Angelo, and Young Jeezy) plus a showcase/critique panel called Show Me What You Got! where a lucky few will be called from the audience to perform on the spot and hear critique from Noah "40" Shebib (producer for Drake, Alicia Keys, and L'il Wayne), Courtney Harrell '01 (Grammy-winning songwriter for Chris Brown, plus John Legend, Rodney Jerkins, and Kelly Rowland), Rob Lewis '94 (music director/arranger for Diddy's Making the Band on VH1, NKOTB, Christina Aguilera, and Patti LaBelle), and Darcie Nicole '01 (Boston Hip-Hop Alliance, "...Ask Darcie," and Velvet Stylus).
This event is part of the Discover New Music Concert Package. Buy tickets to four shows for the price of three, and save.
