The Planet MicroJam Institute, under the direction of David Fiuczynski, collides sonic aesthetics from our increasingly shrinking global village to create music that sounds like a Gauguin painting—a raw, powerful, and extremely colorful mix of eastern and western elements. These basic ingredients are a preview of what will be the makeup of "Flam! Pan-Asian MicroJam for JDilla and Olivier Messiaen," the fall 2012 premiere of David Fiuczynski's 2011 Guggenheim Fellowship composition.
