Jazz Composition Department chair Ken Pullig will perform a selection of his original work. Also tentatively scheduled is Mingus's "Black Saint and Sinner Lady" in its recorded form. When it comes to the work he does, Pullig explains, "I compose because I love the joy of self-expression and of creating interesting and challenging musical landscapes for my musician friends. I enjoy the fun of collaborating with fellow humans in the creation of art."
