The Logic User Group at Berklee started a few semesters ago. Participants discuss topics on music production, MIDI sequencing, audio recording and editing in Logic. All are welcome, beginners and experts alike. This session is presented by Berklee alumnus Ralph Kinscheck and electronic production and design student Jeremy Fonseca.

Ralph Kinscheck is a teacher/trainer, keyboardist, performer/recording artist, audio engineer, video producer, technician, and entrepreneur.

As an Apple certified Logic master trainer, Kinscheck has taught classes up and down the East Coast, given clinics, and worked with all types of clients from local studio owners to editors from NESN, Comcast, and Hasbro. He is cofounder of the Boston Logic Users Group.

Kinscheck has been in the music industry for over 30 years performing live and in the studio as a keyboardist as well as taking on management duties. He got his start in the Chicago area; having played the club circuit there and gaining local fame, Kinscheck Ralph eventually moved to Boston to attend Berklee. Since coming to Berklee he has performed throughout the New England area and taken part in a few recording projects that won local acclaim. Kinscheck's current project is an album released on his own Jharck Records label entitled Grace with Jazz on Top.

He has run sound at locations all over metro Boston including the TD Banknorth Garden and Lowell Auditorium; produced albums in various studios around Boston and at his local home studio; and done sound design for various independent film releases. He has been producing videos for clients for the last 10-plus years as an editor and videographer. Most recently, he has worked full-time as a lab monitor for Berklee College of Music's Electronic Production and Design Department where he helps students and faculty use hundreds of fun and interesting music tech hardware and software with Apple computers as the hub.

As a technician he consults for various studios and independent producers throughout the Boston area. Since 1998 Kinscheck has run Kinscheck Productions (KiP), a production company providing all the services mentioned above.
