Each year, Berklee presents more than 1,500 concerts and events at venues on campus and in the Boston area, showcasing student, faculty, alumni and outside professional acts.

Five-Week Vocal Night

This performance features a variety of special Five-Week vocal ensembles, including the Balkan/Middle Eastern Ensemble, the Five-Week Chorus, the Five-Week Musical Theater Showcase and Ensemble, and the Five-Week Singers Showcase.

The award winning pianist, vocalist, and composer Sarah McKenzie is a graduate of the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts with an impeccable musical pedigree, having been mentored by legends like Graeme Lyall, Jamie Oehlers, James Morrison, and most recently JoAnne Brackeen, the first and only female member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers.

Daniel Pugh

Daniel Pugh grew up in Syracuse, New York, and has been playing piano since the age of 5. He started playing jazz around age 13 and has since fallen in love with the style.

City Music Scholarship Concert

At the culmination of the Five-Week Summer Performance Program, Berklee City Music students will perform rock, pop, jazz, hip-hop, inspirational, and R&B songs. Scholarship awards will be announced at the show.

Shea Rose

A Boston native, singer-songwriter Shea Rose graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2011. Winner of both the 2012 Pop/R&B Artist of the Year and 2011 R&B/Soul/Urban/Contemporary Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards, Rose was dubbed “artist most likely to make an impact on the national stage” by the Boston Globe.

Guilherme Abud

Wakefield Library

Guilherme Abud, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, started playing guitar when he was 16, and was soon influenced by the Joao Gilberto bossa nova style. He started performing in bars and restaurants with singers; at the same time he attended college. When he graduated in 2009 he was accepted in the Souza Lima Conservatory, where he started his formal music studies.
