Each year, Berklee presents more than 1,500 concerts and events at venues on campus and in the Boston area, showcasing student, faculty, alumni and outside professional acts. 

 

Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Allen Toussaint

New Orleans legends, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Allen Toussaint join forces for an evening of legendary music making. With current director Ben Jaffe, Preservation Hall Jazz Band brings the spirit of New Orleans jazz to glorious life, as it has for more than 50 years. New Orleans icon Allen Toussaint has also been making music for over five decades and has written dozens of hits, including "Southern Nights," "Working in the Coal Mine," and "Whipped Cream."

Bassist and composer Tomas Latorre and his group will perform their last recital at Berklee. With Evan Waaramaa on piano and Tiago Michelin on drums, the gruop will play original music in the style of Argentinean folk and fusion as well as music from Uruguay and Brazil.

Marc Thomas and Christine Fawson: The Connection Between Singing and Playing
