Each year, Berklee presents more than 1,500 concerts and events at venues on campus and in the Boston area, showcasing student, faculty, alumni and outside professional acts.

A musical multilinguist, Erick Peralta is a versatile musician with a special appreciation for all styles of music, permitting him to keep open ears for the evolution of music while still keeping in mind tradition and history. He is a pianist, arranger, composer, and educator originating from Lima, Peru, who can smoothly transition from Latin to jazz to popular music idioms.

Home Away From Home: The Music of Ayn Inserto and Jeff Claassen

The Ayn Inserto Jazz orchestra will return to Berklee to perform music from Inserto's latest CD, Home Away from Home, recorded by the Italian group the Colours Jazz Orchestra. The music encompassess a realm of arrangements and original compositions with some Italian influences, different orchestration, and settings that were tailored specifically for the Colours Jazz Orchestra. New music by Inserto and Jeff Claassen will be performed, showcasing their new explorations of different timbres and genres. The instrumentation is a traditional jazz big band (the Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra) with some modern sounds. The ensemble will include faculty members Allan Chase, Jeff Claassen, Mark Zaleski, and staff member Randy Pingrey.
