Brendan James is a pianist and singer-songwriter hailing from Derry, New Hampshire whose songs have been featured on many television shows, including Private Practice, American Idol, Bones, Army Wives, and One Tree Hill. His first three albums climbed the iTunes Top 10 pop charts and his touring schedule has seen him playing alongside the likes of John Mayer, Paula Cole, and Keb Mo.
James is known for his socially conscious lyrics, which tackle issues such as gun violence and marriage equality.
In 2013, James released his fifth album, Simplify, which was produced by Matt Chiaravalle (Warren Zevon, Joe Bonamassa). Of the album’s title track, James says, “The process of evolution, especially technological evolution, is occurring at such blinding speeds these days that we must take collective moments to breathe together, find calm together, or we will forever leave behind our real essence as animals in paradise.”
