Berklee Bob Marley Ensemble

A 15 piece Marley musical colossus!   The ensemble plays exciting arrangements of Marley’s music with 3 horns, 4 vocalists, 2 keyboardists, 2 guitarists, bass, drums and 2 percussionists.  Don’t miss this group of up-and-coming talented young musicians as they pour all their hearts and souls into the music of our beloved Bob Marley!

The Music and Life of Bob Marley class, taught by assistant professor (piano) Matt Jenson, has been delivering a high quality musical and educational experience to students who are accepted into this by audition only class. Students not only play arrangements of Marley's music but they learn about Marley's amazing life and how it informed and shaped his deeply conscious artistry, dedicated to the liberation of destructive mind sets and the fight against injustice the world over.

This one of Berklee's leading student ensembles and performs locally, regionally and internationally for the public.  The ensemble has performed at the Montreal International Reggae Festival, the Vermont Reggae Festival, the Charlemont Reggae Festival, Bill’s Bar (Boston), the Berklee Performance Center, the Outerland Club (Martha’s Vineyard), the House of Blues (Boston), Johnny D’s (Somerville, MA) and other clubs.
