Abbey Hickman's Senior Recital

Monday / March 4, 2013 / 4:00 p.m.
Berk Recital Hall
1140 Boylston Street

Vocalist Abigail Hickman will perform music in several different genres and styles including opera, contemporary Indian, musical theater, and singer-songwriter covers and originals.

Hickman applied to 24 different colleges—all for music. She chose Berklee so she didn't have to become an opera singer. At Berklee, she sang a lot of different kinds of music. This afternoon, she will delight us with an array of musical styles including works by Claude Debussy, Jason Robert Brown, Joni Mitchell, Doc Watson, A. R. Rahman, Leonard Bernstein, and more as a final showcase of her work in Boston. Accompanying Hickman will be some of Berklee's best: Ben Lusher (piano), Cam Moncur (piano), Noé Socha (guitar), and Isa Burke (fiddle). She would like to thank her parents, Tim and Lisa Hickman in Houston, for their endless support and love, and her private instructor, Sharon Brown, for giving her vocal awareness and a backbone.
