This CD project began when three prominent Boston women planned a trip to Darfur, Sudan, with the relief group Mercy Corps in 2004. In African tradition, it is a well-known custom that one must never make a visit without bringing something for the host. Berklee students created a musical gift of hope for the women and children of Darfur in a way that only Berklee could provide, and the songs were carried to the women of Darfur.

Every week publicist Mitzi Dorbu suggests choice concerts and events by students, faculty, alumni, and special guests on Berklee's campus and at locales around Boston and beyond. The sounds are exciting, many shows are free, and the music is as diverse as Berklee itself. More
