Berklee in the Classroom: Liberal Arts

At the world's leading college of contemporary music, you'll hone your craft, improve your chops, and prepare for a successful career in the industry. But you'll leave with much more than a music education. Berklee's Liberal Arts Department focuses on interdisciplinary learning, schooling students in the humanities, natural sciences and mathematics, and social sciences. From writing and communication to entrepreneurial, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, liberal arts courses provide a wide spectrum of real world–ready tools that every musician needs. Our video team sat in on Writing and Communication classes, taught by professors Sally Blazar and Teodros Kiros, both of whom bring very different perspectives and approaches to the course. You'll also hear from Camille Colatosti, chair of the Liberal Arts Department, and view profiles of six students.
