Berklee in the Classroom: Ensemble
In order to be successful, musicians must play well with others. Berklee students develop the crucial skill set of performing in small groups through the Ensemble Department, which offers the most ensemble opportunities of any college in the world. Watch the seven videos to learn about that range from department chair Ron Savage; get an up-close look at the Celtic Ensemble, where faculty member John McGann helps students explore the rich variety of those musical forms; and meet three student musicians looking to both root and branch out. You'll also hear from Matt Glaser, artistic director of the American Roots Music Program, on how Berklee is becoming a force on the contemporary traditional music scene.
