Berklee in the Classroom: Contemporary Writing and Production

Berklee's Contemporary Writing and Production (CWP) Department helps students improve their composition, arranging, and production skills. CWP majors will be able to apply those skills and concepts by writing for and overseeing the production of a wide variety of instrumental, vocal, acoustic, and electronic combinations, ranging from small workshop groups to a studio orchestra in live performance situations and recording studio environments. Jingle Writing, taught by professor Jon Aldrich, teaches students to turn their musical abilities into income. Watch the videos below to get a taste of the class and meet Aldrich, department chair Matthew Nicholl, and three students.
