Description

This course is the third semester of Directed Study in Composition for composition majors. It offers individualized instruction in composing a work for orchestra or large ensemble that meet the requirements for the Composition Major Portfolio. Emphasis on developing individual creativity and on gaining experience in writing for various musical textures and ensemble combinations that reflect the present-day usage. Additional attendance of the weekly Directed Study Seminar is required.
