Justine Clancy, Screening Specialist/Information Advisor

Justine hails from a suburb of New York City and is a graduate of Villanova University. While earning her bachelor's degree in communications there, she was a study-abroad student in London where she enjoyed studying theater, photography, and traveling throughout Europe.

Upon graduation, Justine returned home to the Big Apple where she spent two years pursuing careers in the diverse areas of advertising and healthcare. Bitten by the travel bug and always seeking out an adventure, Justine then picked up and relocated to Japan, where she lived and worked as an English teacher for two years. She made Gunma-ken her new home, teaching English to students of all ages and traveling throughout Asia.

Justine is now adjusting to life in Red Sox country, excited to be working in such a supportive and interactive office here at Berklee. She hopes that she can offer a friendly face to all who enter the Counseling and Advising Center, helping to make your time at Berklee more enjoyable and comfortable.

Kathryn Hencir, Information Advisor/Administrative Assistant

Kathryn traces her roots back to the Connecticut shoreline, though her love for travel has brought her elsewhere on the map. Most recently, she worked with AmeriCorps*National Civilian Community Corps, assisting communities in the southeastern states. Among her favorite projects were building homes in Louisiana for Habitat for Humanity, mentoring at-risk youth in South Carolina, working at a North Carolina Boys and Girls Club, and managing a teen room at the Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Kathryn graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, MA with a B.A. in Music and a minor in Women's Studies. She completed part of her music degree while studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. At Wheaton, she was a Preceptor for incoming students as well as a Global Peer Advisor, having trained in student academic and international advising.

On a musical note, Kathryn enjoys composition and performance, particularly for voice, guitar, and piano. She is excited about working at Berklee and experiencing the musical culture each person has to offer.
