A Message to the Class of 2013
Dear Graduate:
Congratulations on your graduation this May! You've now joined the impressive roster of Berklee alumni. Here is what will be available to you through the Office of Alumni Affairs.
Staying Connected with Berklee
The Office of Alumni Affairs distributes a monthly e-newsletter to alumni that includes details of upcoming events in various areas, online presentations, job opportunities, and news at Berklee. We also have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as our own alumni website at alumni.berklee.edu. Berklee Today, the alumni magazine, is a great way to keep up with your fellow alumni and you can share news of your latest happenings in the AlumNotes section.
Professional Development and Networking Opportunities
The Office of Alumni Affairs hosts events in Berklee’s three alumni centers – Boston, New York, and Los Angeles – which allow alumni to reconnect and meet new friends. Recent events have included a music industry panel at Sony Music, the Green Room L.A. networking events, alumni receptions during AES, NAMM, GDC, alumni showcases at CMJ, and the annual alumni holiday parties.
Staying Connected with Fellow Alumni
The Berklee Music Network is a great online resource to help you connect with fellow alumni and industry professionals. Create a profile at http://network.www.berkleemusic.com/ and get connected.
Exclusive Access to Job Opportunities and Special Deals
Alumni have access to the online jobs board available at http://network.www.berkleemusic.com/. Combining the Music Network exclusive job and gig board with a comprehensive listing from Indeed.com, the job board at the Berklee Music Network lists thousands of opportunities in one convenient place.
Make a Difference
Current and prospective students need to hear from alumni. Keeping your contact information up to date with the Office of Alumni Affairs allows you the opportunity to give back by serving on an alumni panel, participating in an alumni advisory committee, or interacting with students as a mentor or an alumni clinician. Alumni are a valued resource to those students who are following similar paths.
Giving Back
Just as your Berklee experience was shaped in part by the generosity of alumni before you, we hope you will consider supporting Berklee students with a gift to the Berklee Fund. The Berklee Fund supports scholarships, facility improvements, new technology, and so much more. Alumni giving makes Berklee stronger, something all members of this community can celebrate.
Lifelong Learning
Berklee Valencia offers a one-year master's program in Global Entertainment and Music Business, Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games, Electronic Production and Design, and Contemporary Studio Performance. For more information on these programs, please visit http://berkleevalencia.org/.
Berkleemusic.com offers alumni a 10 percent discount on award-winning online courses. So no matter where you are, Berklee can continue to help you learn and grow.
Berklee’s alumni community is 50,000 strong and we look forward to helping you continue your relationships with each other and the college. For any questions, contact the Office of Alumni Affairs directly at alumniaffairs@berklee.edu or stop by our office, now located on the third floor of 161 Massachusetts Avenue.
Congratulations once again, and welcome to the Berklee alumni community!
