The campus tour section offers four video tour sections about Berklee: a general college overview, a look at the student experience, a tour for parents of prospective students, and a walk-through of the application process.
The Berklee General tour comes in three parts. The Berklee Overview tour offers information about Berklee, our campus, Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, our international composition, online study at Berkleemusic.com, and summer programs. The Berklee Student tour offers info about students: the diversity of styles, instruments, genres, and backgrounds, particularly the massive number of countries our students hail from. The Life After Berklee tour focuses on career development resources, internships and experiential opportunities, jobs and careers in the music business, the Berklee alumni network, and alumni in the industry.
The Berklee Experience Tour comes in two parts. The Inside the Classroom tour focuses on faculty, composition and songwriting, the level of liberal arts education Berklee offers, professional education, music technology, and performance opportunities. The Outside the Classroom tour offers info about student life and the value of being surrounded by fellow musicians, study abroad programs, and the Stan Getz Media Center and Library, as well as student-run groups like the Berklee Internet Radio Network (or BIRN), Jazz Revelation Records, and Heavy Rotation Records, and our impressive roster of visiting artists.
The Berklee Parent Tour offers information specifically for the parent of a prospective student. The tour guides parents on understanding whether Berklee's the right match for your student, visiting campus, and support for parents (both financial and otherwise). The tour also looks at Berklee's safe, supportive environment, internships and experiential opportunities, careers in the music and recording industries, and our impressive alumni network—and what it means to your student.
The Applying to Berklee tour walks prospective students and parents through the admissions process, covering our philosophy, the online application process, the audition and interview process, and scholarships and financial aid offerings.
