Associate Professor August Watters will play mandolin works at EuroFest in Bruchsal, Germany, next summer.

Professor Wayne Ward accompanied the Massachusetts Central District All State Chorus at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA.

Diane Heffner and the New England String Quartet premiered Beth Denisch’s “Five on Five” at Brandeis University.

Professor Barbara LaFitte was noted in mydesert.com for her English horn solo in Dvorak’s “Largo” from the New World Symphony, during the Boston Pops Orchestra’s Southwest tour.

Percussion Professor Kim Plainfield toured Europe, and performed with Franz Hackl and the Outreach Orchestra in Austria. He also gave clinics in Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Music Education Chair Cecil Adderley had his piece “The Patriot” performed by the Highland Park High School band and the Berklee Wind Ensemble.

Ralph Jaccodine produces the radio show Boston Sessions, a performance and interview show with Emerson College’s WERS and Boston Globe writer Jim Sullivan.

Peter Alhadeffand Luiz Buff ’12 coauthored an article for the Journal of the Music & Entertainment Industry Educators’ Association. Alhadeff also spoke at the Boston Bar Association in October.

Associate Professor Tim Ray and Tre Corda, featuring Greg Hopkins and Eugene Friesen, released the CD Squeaky Toy. Ray has performed or recorded with Phil Woods, Scott Hamilton, Greg Hopkins, Kris Adams, Carmen Paris, and Roger Fluet.
