Berklee Launches Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship

Berklee College of Music announced the launch of the Berklee Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship (BerkleeICE). Alumnus and Sonicbids founder Panos Panay has been named its founding managing director. The institute will offer an academic curriculum, research projects, online courses, and an incubation environment to encourage new startups within the music space.

Berklee Alumni Win Eight Grammy Awards

Berklee alumni took home eight trophies during the Grammy Awards 2014 ceremony, including faculty member Terri Lyne Carrington, who was the first woman artist to win in the Best Jazz Instrumental Album category.

Jason Lim '13: All of the Above

Performer and inventor Jason Lim synthesizes new experiences in the Interdisciplinary Arts Institute. “Berklee has the worldwide reputation and facilities that I wanted to experience,” he says, and adds that he began saving money to come to Berklee early on during his first degree program. He originally intended to stay for only a semester or two, but found the experience so rewarding that he completed a second degree, this time in electronic production and design (EPD).
