A Brief Guide to Application and Admission to Berklee
If you are reading this, you are a student who is not a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. and considering applying to Berklee College of Music. Preparing for an education at Berklee can be an exciting and involved process and so we encourage you to begin the process as soon as possible to complete your application for your desired semester. As an international student, Berklee is the one place in the world where you will receive a distinctive contemporary music education, and build musical and personal relationships that will last a lifetime. Our rich and diverse international community is one of the most unique in the world, having a third of students from different countries.

International applicants auditioning in Boston
If you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. you have the option to audition in Boston on campus or at any of our international tour sites.
If you are auditioning in Boston you may need to first obtain a temporary visitor visa to enter the US. Please check with the US Embassy in your area for more details on applying for a visa, including processing timelines. Please be advised not to seek a student visa to participate in an audition as this type of visa is only issued to accepted applicants.
