If you are reading this, you are a teacher or guidance counselor and you would like to receive more information about Berklee College of Music to share with your students. We've been the premier college for aspiring professional musicians for more than half a century because we believe in helping our students define and refine their artistry while building practical and professional skills. If you have students who are interested in applying to Berklee, they should use our website to get the most detailed information possible.
Our innovative, experiential approach to music education was the first to bring jazz-and later rock, r&b, country, hip-hop, and world music-into a classroom setting and the first to prepare students for the realities of a life in music. Our facilities include multiple recording studios, performance venues, practice spaces, and media/learning labs. And our curriculum, which also encompasses nonperformance areas of study such as music business, production and engineering, film scoring, and music therapy, is geared to give our students a practical and creative foundation for sustainable careers in music.
As you know, music is integral to every culture on earth, and the world of contemporary music reflects this rich diversity. Berklee's curriculum encompasses today's relevant musical movements and prepares our students for the technical, business, and social realities of the world they are entering. With hundreds of courses and 12 different majors to choose from, Berklee offers the most comprehensive music education in the world.
